ID10TProof BLOG

Not to be confused with the blog of an idiot, unlike most blogs, this one will present ideas that highlight just how idiotic people can be. Our aim is to turn their stupid-ass thinking around with your support. (Just give me a "Yeeah!" in the comments.)

Toyota Sucks

There is no such thing as a reliable, cost efficient vehicle, they're all money pits - some just a little less than others. until recently, I drove a 13-year-old Chrysler minivan. It spent less time in the garage than my new Toyota Sienna XLE AWD minivan.

Granted, my poor choice of dealership has more to do with my dissatisfaction than the vehicle itself, although the Toyota Sienna is still a major culprit.

My troubles began, when the sales representative at my dealership declined to demonstrate the gadgets and duhickies of the van, sighting current vehicles long list of electronic capabilities as a reason for having such a discussion post sale. Normally, I don't let such hucksters get away with something like that, but in this case my better judgment did not prevent.

And so, when I arrived to take delivery of my newly purchased Toyota Sienna minivan, imagine my surprise when one of its listed features, my six CD changer, didn't exist. Either they had no idea what they were talking about or they were outright lying when they told me it had one because this vehicle did not have a six disc changer. It never did, even though it was listed right in the ad and confirmed by my sales rep as having one.

While my sales rep and his manager spent several fruitless minutes trying to jam discs into a slot only designed to handle only one, I went into the parts department to find out the true value of the missing multidisc changer. [About $1300] Well that was going to cost them dearly and I made sure it did.

Take Chrysler, they build reliable vehicles that cost less to own and spend less time in the garage than Toyotas. Now, hear me out...

I know what I am talking about. Moreover, Toyota Garages are Notorious for the sheer number of stupid people who work there.

You have to hover just to get any work done and you have to inspect everything because they can't EVER get the work done right and then you have to watch that they don't break something else in the process...

More later, I'm busy right now - You'll have to wait.

A wise man once told me that we are all God in drag. I like that. Sometimes when I'm in a public place or sitting at a stoplight, I'll watch people walking by and I'll silently say to myself, "he's God. She's God. He's God. She's God." Before long I always find myself feeling a warm sense of affinity for these strangers. The experience is even more powerful when I do this while observing a person who is clearly suffering. On occasion I'll test my little spiritual practice by turning on Fox news. Within minutes I become an atheist.
